Axon: Auto-Transcribe

Project overview

Auto-Transcribe brought AI transcription to Axon's digital evidence platform, helping officers review audio and video evidence and write reports. I led design from 0 to 1, researching, iterating and testing various workflows and interactions, with the goal of improving transcription turnaround by using AI.

Key work

• Led design for AI transcription from 0 to 1.
• Conducted numerous rounds of research and validation, both remotely and in person
• Led a series of cross-functional workshops to help the team align on and iterate around the use cases defined through research.
• Benchmarked functional UX across sessions, eventually shipping a product that consistently saves users 40%+ time across sessions.
