Axon: Redaction Studio

Project overview

Redaction Studio is a tool for removing personally identifiable information from evidence before public release. Redaction also functions as a massive bottleneck in the capture-to-courtroom workflow, required before public disclosure can occur. 

Key work

• Led design for video and audio redaction from 0 to 1, working closely with product and engineering
• Explored a wide variety of visual and functional treatments, validating with redaction-focused customers to ensure efficiency and accuracy standards were met
• Worked closely with the design system team to include new components and treatments, informing new states that had yet to be introduced to our system (processing and AI indictors, for example)
  
• Built our patterns that accommodated P1 functional requirements, while also capturing patterns for the team to work towards once AI functionality was added to the roadmap
